Felix is Awesome

Well, thanks a bunch for the compliment!

Felix is 28 already – and unfortunately feeling like it! He’s the German of the two Adventurers (didn’t want to call us ‘Lappers’, for some reason) and has quite a journey to make before the actual fun can begin.

My bike-history began about 7 years ago upon entering the german military for the required service. Since I was lucky enough to be stationed in Leipzig, I figured I needed some means of getting from home to the barracks on a daily basis. In addition, I had set my mind in early childhood that I was going to get the bike-license at least, if not a bike, once I was grown up.

What better to start with in former East-Germany than a MZ 250 (I’ll try to find a picture), a typical make/model for this part of the country in those times. She served him well for the next 2 1/2 years…

The Lucky, (or Felix) as his name suggests had a chance to make a bargain on another bike and mum’s wallet allowed him to do so. Quote mum: “Well, if you’ve got the chance to get proper (or was it ‘real’) bike for that price – you’d better take it!” Payments made and contracts sealed, Mr Kurtze and the NTV took off for hours and hours of fun!

Ever since, Felix and the NTV 650/Revere/Bros are best friends (except for Oli, of course, who’s slightly above the bike…) and she took him through Saxony…and beyond, as you will find out soon!

As mentioned above, pics will follow!

and here they are…
